Ideas for our lamppost flowerbed



Clockwise from top-left: creeping rose bush, spirea, miscanthus(ornamental grass), baby's breath and perennial geranium.

i like your choices for this flowerbed. but let me just warn you about the ornamental grass. they can grow to be really tall, so make sure you pick one that is of a dwarf variety. unless you want it to be that big!

ok. thanks for the tip!:) I know I saw some pictures of this grass that was enormous!! But I thought that they were just in tropical climates or something. Can you prune it? Also, we are thinking of a burning bush instead of the spyrea. Actually Dad already bought one!

no...grass can get that big here! i know you can prune it but it will still get really tall, cause you want to have the bloom of the grass too so i wouldn't prune it that often. i like the burning bush, it is not as common looking as spyrea is, to me anyway
